Helen Handelman
Helen is a writer, creative consultant, and
filmmaker based in Asheville, North Carolina.
- Helen is currently working with Victoria Johnson on her forthcoming biography of Frederic Edwin Church.
- Since 2019, she's worked with John Seabrook on
The Spinach King (W. W. Norton, June 2025).
- Since 2020, she's made three short films:
two of us, NEPO BABY, and Olive & Lynn.
- In 2016, Helen graduated with honors from Wesleyan University, where she studied Theater and Religion - and wrote a thesis about the moon!
