Helen Handelman
Helen is a writer and freelance editor/book assistant based in Asheville, North Carolina.
She works with authors on books approaching their publication date, doing image clearances, research,
fact-checking, endnotes, and copy-editing.
Helen recently worked on forthcoming books by Zayd Ayers Dohrn, Katrina Manson, and Victoria Johnson.
Before that, she worked for several years with John Seabrook on The Spinach King.
As a writer/director, she's made three short films:
two of us, NEPO BABY, and Olive & Lynn.
In 2016, Helen graduated with honors from Wesleyan University, where she studied Theater and Religion - and wrote a thesis about the moon!
